Hi, my name is Mina (she/her) and I’m one of your co-instructors this summer!
I’m a rising 5th-year Ph.D. here at UC Berkeley EECS, advised by Amy Pavel. My research focuses on accessible Human-AI collaboration. I build systems that help people inspect AI outputs, act with AI guidance, and intervene during AI execution - especially when visual access or attention is limited. I spent first three years of my Ph.D. at UT Austin, before our lab moved to Berkeley. I also worked as a research intern at Adobe Research (x2) and Naver AI Lab. If you’re interested in HCI/Accessibility research in academia, happy to talk about my experience.

Hi, my name is Selaine (she/her) and I will be one of your co-instructors this summer!
I am currently a Software Engineer at Uber working on Uber Eats for Business. If you have ever used group orders (or saved groups, business profiles, meal plans, etc.), that’s something I work on in my day to day.
I grew up in El Paso, Texas, before moving to the Bay Area seven years ago. I hold a B.S.H. in Computer Science and Education and a M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University. During my undergraduate and graduate career, I taught a little bit of everything, including introductory computer science, computer systems, computer graphics, and social computing. I’m excited to be teaching all of you this summer!
In my free time, I play trumpet in the Bay’s all-female mariachi group. I also enjoy walking my dog, listening to new music, reading, and watching new TV shows and movies.

Hello! My name is Ananya G M, and I’m one of your TAs this summer! I’m a rising 3rd-year PhD student at UC Berkeley EECS, advised by Amy Pavel. My research focuses on designing new interactions for accessible computer use to improve human-AI collaboration. Specifically, I study differences in interaction styles among sighted users, blind users, and computer use agents, with the goal of reducing gaps in strategy, time, and effort. I completed my Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction from the School of Information at UT Austin, then spent another year and a half in a PhD program at UTCS before moving to UC Berkeley with my amazing lab!
In my free time, I go on backpacking trips, cook all kinds of food, and jam with friends to Indian music. Excited to be working with y’all this summer!
Hello! My name is Vivian!
I am a third-year PhD student in the EECS Department at UC Berkeley, in the Hybrid Ecologies Lab, advised by Prof. Eric Paulos. I hold a joint Master’s degree in Design Engineering from Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Previously, I was a visiting research student at the MIT HCI Engineering Group, advised by Prof. Stefanie Mueller and Visiting Prof. Megan Hofmann, and an undergraduate HCI researcher at the National Taiwan University HCI Lab, advised by Prof. Lung-Pan Cheng.
I am deeply inspired by, and constantly in awe of, how nature makes things and solves problems. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and watching animal documentaries.
